Our history
2013
Founded in 2013, Champ is a family-owned and operated recruitment and labour hire business for the mining, manufacturing, and construction sectors in Rockhampton, Queensland.
Champ quickly became a leading labour hire provider, built on a strong foundation of quality recruitment services and exceptional customer service.
2015
Less than two years later, Champ had evolved from a labour hire provider to a workforce management partner operating across Australia.
Realising Champ could be a ‘one vendor’ solution for clients across the country, we began developing complementary business units and expanding our service offerings. We expanded into security services and administrative support.
These services allowed us to support local Central Queensland communities, which were devastated by Cyclone Marcia at the time.
2017
We established Champ Services Pty Limited, which provides fabrication, welding, and site services to clients across the mining, manufacturing, construction, and agriculture industries.
2018
We established Champ Facilities Management Pty Ltd, expanding our horizons to the facilities management sector and commencing contract work within government, real estate, and aged care industries, on top of the large-scale mining and commercial contracts we were built on.
2020
Zane Thiele joined as General Manager, continuing to drive innovative solutions to clients, upholding the values and service standards that underpin Champ Group’s success.
